How it Works

During the interviewing process you will have to inform them that they are required by law to agree to have information held on them by the criminal records bureau disclosed. This will include "Spent Convictions" and any other relevant information that may affect their suitability for employment

We will supply you with a fact sheet which will inform them of the process and what safeguards will be used so that information about them is held securely .

If you wish to offer the candidate employment. They must complete and sign the disclosure form.

All Candidates must produce documentary evidence that they are who they say they are. (A list of acceptable documents is contained in the registration pack). It is advisable to keep a photocopy of this information.

NB
From 1 April 2002 you will not be able to start any new employee until the CRB checks have been made.

The disclosure form is then sent to us with the appropriate fee and we do the rest. The process will currently take about 3 weeks. However we are working with the CRB to try and reduce this.

(arrangements are now being considered to prevent delays in recruiting staff due to the time lag in receiving checks).

On registration you will receive an instruction pack, all documentation and disclosure forms. We will also be available to answer questions by e-mail and telephone.

The Registration fee is £20.00
The Checks will cost £15 for every application.
